At the Acoustics Group we believe in working on cutting edge applied research. This is driven by new legislation, standards, techniques or equipment. We are in a 3* Architectural School in terms of research according to the REF2021 (Rated 19th out of 157 UK Universities in terms of Research Power). Times Higher Entrepreneurial University 2017. On the 13/14th September 2023 the UK Acoustic Network held it's annual conference at Univetsity of Sheffield. Eight presenters gave their thoughts on innovation, consultancy, research and technology transfer. The future of UKAN looks bright with Professor Stephen Dance and many others offering advice as to the futute direction of the network!
