At the Acoustics Group we believe in working on cutting edge applied research. This is driven by new legislation, standards, techniques or equipment. We are in a 3* Architectural School in terms of research according to the REF2021 (Rated 19th out of 157 UK Universities in terms of Research Power). Times Higher Entrepreneurial University 2017. We welcome a new PhD student- Alec Korchev, an LSNU alumni, to the Acoustics Group. Alec will br studying, "Creaking in Tall Buildings". He will be supervised by Prof Stephen Dance and Ms Ottavia Rispoli and Ed Clarke (of Clarke Saunders) ovet the next few years. We wish him all the best with his research.
