At the Acoustics Group we believe in working on cutting edge applied research. This is driven by new legislation, standards, techniques or equipment. We are in a 3* Architectural School in terms of research according to the REF2021 (Rated 19th out of 157 UK Universities in terms of Research Power). Times Higher Entrepreneurial University 2017. On the 25th January 2023 Professor Stephen Dance gave his second Inargural Lecture. Steve holds a chair in acoustics at London South Bank Unniversity and graced us with a presentation on, "Acoustics for the Benefit to Musicians+". A packed audience enjoyed the presentaton and the demonstrations to illustrate the link between noise and hearing. A Youtube video on LSBU channel will be available shortly.
