At the Acoustics Group we believe in working on cutting edge applied research. This is driven by new legislation, standards, techniques or equipment. We are in a 3* Architectural School in terms of research according to the REF2021 (Rated 19th out of 157 UK Universities in terms of Research Power). Times Higher Entrepreneurial University 2017. On the 13/14th September 2023 the UK Acoustics Network held their annual conference up in Sheffield. An excellent event was held with talks on the future of UKAN, maximising funding for acoustics, and technical talks on loudspeaker optimisation to MRI scanners. Industrial engagement through both the IOA and ANC was fruitful, so now we have a plan for 2024/25! See you all next year!
