At the Acoustics Group we believe in working on cutting edge applied research. This is driven by new legislation, standards, techniques or equipment. The tri-annual International Conference on the Biological Effects of Noise was held in Belgrade, Serbia, 18-22 June 2023. Prof Dance presented research on, "The hearing assessment of classical music students" using both audiometry and otoacoustic emissions, with a demonstration of reproducibility and reboustness of the two hearing assessment methods. Lots of discussion by a multidisplinary audience over coffee and later over drinks!
