At the Acoustics Group we believe in working on cutting edge applied research. This is driven by new legislation, standards, techniques or equipment. We are in a 3* Architectural School in terms of research according to the REF2021 (Rated 19th out of 157 UK Universities in terms of Research Power). Times Higher Entrepreneurial University 2017. On the 26th April 2023 Professor Stephen Dance and Ruben Vasquez run a pilot study on on-site hearing assessment at the Royal Academy of Music. The Patron's Room was the venue and 20 students were tested using our new Kudawave audiometer and Path Medical's Otoacoustic Emissions kit. Things didn't quite work out but solutions were found!
