At the Acoustics Group we believe in working on cutting edge applied research. This is driven by new legislation, standards, techniques or equipment. We are in a 3* Architectural School in terms of research according to the REF2021 (Rated 19th out of 157 UK Universities in terms of Research Power). Times Higher Entrepreneurial University 2017. Times University Graduate Employment of the Year 2017 and 2018. QS Ranked 4* University.
On the 8th October 2022 the Acoustics Laboratory was opened to the public as part of a promotional campaign for our courses which now includes the Masters in Environmental and Architectural Acoustics, Institute of Acoustics Diploma in Noise Control and the new Apprenticehsip in Acoustivs. Dr Haydar Aygun gave a talk to prospective students which they greatly enjoyed.
