The acoustics of organs and the buildings in which they are housed

One day Meeting on 4th July 2014 at Royal Academy of Music, Marylebone Road, London NW1 5HT.
In summer 2013, a new three-manual symphonic organ, built by Orgelbau Kuhn, was installed in the Duke’s Hall. This meeting will be focusing matters relating to the considerations needed in the design of new and modified organs and the need to obtain the most satisfactory acoustic performance within new and existing buildings where they will be sited.  This meeting will be of interest to acousticians, architects involved in designing and modifying music performance venues, organ builders, professional organists along with audio engineers involved in recording and broadcasting.
