
On Tuesday 12th October 2009 the acoustic refrigeration experiment went live in the Acoustics laboratory at London South Bank University. Using a low frequency tone through a powerful amplifier connected to a bass speaker at the end of a long steel tube a cooling effect was seen when the sound passed through a catalytic converter.
