Exhibition at the Venice Biennale (Art and Architecture)

 

The biannual Venice Biennale exhibition will be held May-Nov 2025. This year London South Bank University has teamed up with Anne Kyyro Quinn and AKT II to create functional art for the festival. This will be achieved by applying acoustics and 3D printing technology to create a unique piece of interior design through the work of Prof Stephen Dance and Federico Rossi. 

MRC Award to Assess Children's Hearing

 

The Medical Research Council (MRC) awarded a Gap Fund grant for early-stage development of new healthcare interventions to Guys & St Thomas's NHS Trust and London South Bank University. The project entitled, "From Early Music Audiometry to Tone Audiograms" aims to help assess the hearing of children. It is supported by Audio3 and Chear Ltd. We look forward to installing the prototype audiometers and testing some toddlers!

Journal article published on Engineering History

 

On the 16th January 2025 an article was published in the Institution of Civil Engineering's Proceeding on Engineering History and Heritage. The article authored by Dr Haydar Aygun et al was entitled, "Pixel matching technique for restoration of Mediterranean historic buildings". It was a team effort!
