National Gallery Painting Tests
The National Gallery visited the LSBU Acoustics Laboratory, 19-21 February 2024, to undertaken testing of oil paintings. The testing was to establish if very high levels of air-borne sound affected the painting. This involved hiring a Polytec Laser Vibrometer and a very large loudspeaker! Many thanks to Bickerdike Allen Partners and the support of UKAN. Lots of analysis now needs to be undertaken!
