Acoustics Group in Iceland

The Acoustics Group was represented at a conference on The damaging effects of noise on hearing, voice and well-being in children’s learning environment at the National University Hospital of Iceland.
Professor Bridget Shield presented two papers on school acoustics including Nick Durup giving an update on his current research. The conference was well attended with an international range of speakers from the Speech Therapy, Phoniatric and Acoustics fields and appeared on Icelandic TV.
The visit included a concert at the Harpa concert hall in Reykjavik where the acoustics complemented the music of the Iceland Symphony orchestra impressively!
