At the Acoustics Group we believe in working on cutting edge applied research. This is driven by new legislation, standards, techniques or equipment. On the 8th October 2025 the updated Sound Economics Report 2025 was launched at the Royal Academy of Engineering. The event lead by Prof Horoshenkov and Prof Craster of UKAN with the Institute of Acoustics President, Prof Waddington. Industry and Government both attended the event which demonstrated the increased value of acoustics to UK PLC in terms of jobs and productivity since the original 2019 report.
