A new 6 channel Svantek vibration meter has been purchased for the urban wind turbine research project. This equipment will allow the simultaneous tri-axial vibrations to be monitored above and below the mounting systems. The data will be compared to anemometry to calculate dynamic load on the structure and urban wind turbines.
VIBRATION AND SOUND ARE TWO MOST IMPORTANT PARAMETERS FOR MONITORING THE MACHINE HEALTH. REGULAR LOGGING OF THESE TWO PARAMETERS PROVIDES EARLY WARNING OF BREAKDOWN.
