Cheap Sound Level Meters Tested
In September 2011 all first year undergraduate Building Services Engineers will take a module which includes acoustics. The Acoustic Group is testing the capabilities of cheap sound level meters, so that the students get hands-on experience. This is the best cheap meter, but it requires a netbook to work properly!
Hired sound level meters are also available at short notice, whereas a purchase might require several days or weeks for delivery. Many sound level meter hire companies are able to provide a next day service for times when companies need to carry out an audit or routine assessment quickly.
